The hosted MCP server plus skills: instructions the agent loads when a task needs boundaries or areas.

Claude Code

The first tool call opens your browser to sign in (free). On a machine without a browser, paste a geo_… key into the plugin's api_key option.

Codex

Cursor and other agents

Point the MCP config at https://geo-coder-service.vercel.app/mcp?auth=required, or run npx @meterapp/geocode install. Any agent that reads Agent Skills can use the skills from the plugin repository.

Skills

  • geocode-boundaries: Find boundaries, get polygons, reverse lookups, children, contains and union.
  • geocode-areas: Turn a description or a contract clause into one validated polygon.
  • geocode-api: Write code against the REST API, the CLI or MCP.

The tools come from the hosted MCP server, so new API features show up without a plugin update. Questions or ideas: open an issue on the plugin repository.
